Drawing upon deeply rooted Russian traditions, the colors and images in Ludmila Aristova's art quilts are inspired by the fairy tales, legends and history of her country. Her exquisite craftsmanship is evidenced in a variety of techniques, including piecing, applique, beading, embroidery and hand quilting.
Aristova holds a Master's degree from the Textile Institute of Moscow. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in museum and private collections. A resident of Moscow, she is represented in the U.S. by her daughter, Elena Pinerolo. Exhibition opportunities are welcomed.
